The Wheatbelt Athlete Support Program is now open

Do you live in the Wheatbelt? Are you an athlete seeking support with talent development, access to specialist services and facilities? Are you a coach or official seeking to undertake accredited professional development to improve your knowledge and skills?

The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (Wheatbelt) are offering assistance to athletes, coaches and officials through the Wheatbelt Athlete Support Program (WASP). Examples of applicants would be:

• Athletes seeking to gain access to quality specialist coaching, sport services and facilities with-in the region

• Coaches/Officials seeking to undertake accredited professional development opportunities to improve their coaching/umpiring knowledge and skills

• State Sporting Associations delivering services to enhance talent development within the wheatbelt. 

Up to $2,000 funding is available for successful applicants.
