The mission of YMCA WA is to provide opportunities for children and young people to grow in body, mind and spirit.
A key question is, "How do we know if we are achieving our mission?" That is, how do we know if the children and young people for whom we provide opportunities are actually growing in body, mind and spirit and are we having a positive impact on their lives?
Measuring our key outcomes, and comparing the measurements of those outcomes over time, provides evidence of the impact of our services and enables us to conduct quality improvement processes.
Outcomes measurement is, therefore, becoming a valued part of business as usual at the Y.
