Our School Holiday Programs are now taking bookings!
Kids have the biggest say when it comes to planning the fun and exciting YMCA School Holiday Program.
Our program caters for children that are in kindergarten to year six and we want them to come and enjoy themselves while being cared for in a safe, friendly and nurturing environment.
The children who are a part of each YMCA School Holiday Program have a huge say in what we plan during the next WA school holidays- whether that be roller skating, ice skating, bowling, going to see the latest release at the movies, getting involved in a local community activity or having a special guest visit us.
That means each centre will run a different School Holiday Program to the next, depending on the valuable input from the children in that area.
The beauty of our School Holiday Program is that there is a flat daily fee. That means there are no extra costs if we head out on an excursion or organise a fun incursion.
Our mission is to cater for all children throughout the holidays. So there is no pressure for them to attend excursions. All children will be cared for whatever activities they chose to participate in during the day.
What is provided?
- All excursion, incursions and activities for one flat daily fee
- Nutritious morning and afternoon tea
- Care and supervision by qualified and experienced professionals who are committed to providing a high quality service and protecting the safety of young people in their care
- Structured and flexible activities throughout the entire day
Hours of Operation
The YMCA School Holiday Program is open from 7am until 6pm.
Safeguarding your Children
At the YMCA we have an unwavering focus and commitment to safeguarding children. That is why the Y is independently reviewed by the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) to ensure our services are safe for all children and young people and have strong Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy and Procedures.
Our commitment to our families, our community and our schools is that we will:

- Make supervision our Number 1 priority
- Ensure children are cared for in a safe environment
Our Staff
All YMCA WA School Holiday Programs are staffed by qualified and experienced professionals wo receive regular industry training.
Fees and Rebates
All eligible families will receive the Government’s Child Care Rebate and Child Care Benefit subsidy.
Centre Locations
Most YMCA School Holiday Program centres are conveniently located at primary schools, while some operate off-site at local community centres. The YMCA already has strong relationships with many of these centres through our Outside School Hours Care service.
