HQ is Australia’s premier dedicated all ages live music venue, featuring weekly performances by local, national and international artists. The multi-purpose facility boasts a renowned art gallery, co-working spaces and creative spaces that are available for use and hire by young people and the community at large.

Who is it for? 

HQ has an innovative youth development framework and specialises in providing for young people, but is not limited to any age bracket with everyone welcome.

Where is the centre and when is it open? 

The HQ art gallery, gig space and facility can be found at 60A Frame Court in the heart of Leederville. The centre is open from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday with weekend hours varying depending on events. Click here to view our events.

Space Hire

HQ has a number of versatile spaces for use and hire by young people and the community at large. These include: 

HQ Gig Space - an event space suitable for live music events, performance, seminars, training and workshops. 

HQ Gallery - a professionally outfitted exhibition space that is available for hire by emerging and established artists. The gallery is available for free to artists under 26 years of age (conditions apply) or for discounted rates for older, established artists. The space is also suitable for small functions, workshops or seminars. 

HQ Courtyard - a large open, outdoor area suitable for outdoor performance, markets or gatherings. The space is fully enclosed by a wall sporting a continually evolving display of urban art produced by local young people. 

HQ Hot Desk Space - a series of versatile office/workspaces for use on a casual basis by young people requiring a place to launch or develop small business initiatives in a supportive, easily accessible environment. Work & meeting spaces are available for hire by the hour, day or week with discounted rates for young people and the community/not for profit sector. The space is equipped with a wireless internet connection, computers and telephones for use by space users and also provides mentoring and access to professional development opportunities for users. 

All HQ spaces are inclusive and accessible to people of all backgrounds and abilities.
